My Top 5 Detox Juice Recipes
A full body cleanse for glowing skin and weight loss
By Teanna Clark
I’ve been dropping anything-but-subtle hints to my boyfriend all year about buying me a juicer. This Christmas I guess Santa thought I finally deserved one! Or my boyfriend wanted to shut me up about it already… either way my tactics worked.
Ever since I was a sorta-overweight 12 year old, I have taken an interest in educating myself on the magical powers of food. Juicing being an amazing, delicious way of getting in daily doses of vitamins and minerals.
If you clicked on this blog, most likely you are already aware of the amazing benefits juicing has. If you don’t already own a juicer, I have linked below the exact juicer I use and love. After 10 years of wanting a juicer, let’s just say I have picked out the best one on the market and you can get it shipped to your doorstep this week! I’ll be honest, in order to bring you these awesome healthy recipes for FREE, it really helps me out when you use my links to shop. Thanks sis.

The cool thing about juice recipes is you can personalize every single one to your taste! Juicing requires no measurements, so if you like it more sweet add more apple and if you like it spicy add more ginger! I personally add a bit of ginger to every single recipe. LADIES LISTEN UP! Ginger has been the most effective ingredient to this day, helping with my bloating. Daily doses of ginger ( not too much or you’ll be on the toilet all night! ) has helped me tighten the waist and stay far away from the love handles.
I always use ORGANIC vegetables and fruits, and you should too. You should also learn how to wash produce, as organic can sometimes come with dirt! Once you get into the habit of juicing regularly, it is a smart idea to always have a rotating fridge full of organic produce! This will make it more convenient and easy to stick to your health goals.
These recipes are an easy outline for you to begin, feel free to experiment until you’ve found your perfect ratio. When it comes to ginger and turmeric, you dont really need a lot. Juice a little at a time, it’s easier to add then remove.
Here are some helpful tips I recommend you read before your juicing journey, they definitely would have saved me some headaches.
Turmeric STAINS. Like badly. Having a baby husky pup in the house has taught me a lot about stains, but turmeric on the other hand is a WHOLE NOTHA STAIN. If you leave it, It ain’t coming out. Do not get it on your clothes. Your hands are fine, and if you get turmeric on your counters or sinks use baby oil. No baby oil? Make a paste with baking soda and vinegar, let sit and scrub away.
Peel Your Lemons. Unless you want your juicer to sound like it’s dying. You might be wondering why you should put your lemons in the juicer when they’re so easy to juice already ( just squeeze! ) Well, I personally find the juicer will make the lemon juice more frothy, which i prefer for mixing in with other juices.
Chop up your Apples. And your beets, and basically anything that is bigger than your fist. Although my juicer claims you can throw in apples whole, I would like to see my juicer live another day.
LONG LIVE THE JUICER
Some quick tips to help keep your juicer in the best condition.
- After juicing a vegetable or fruit, turn it off for at least 15 seconds before juicing another.
- Once your pulp catcher is full, stop juicing! Empty it out first, the continue.
- Clean your juicer as soon as you’re done using it! Don’t be lazy, staining and caking will occur. Never submerge any of the electrical in water. Opt for a damp paper towel to wipe away pulp.
Now for the main attraction, here are my all-time TOP 5 Favourites!
The Morning After.. aka save the liver juice! Celery is so amazing for the liver, juiced or eaten whole. When you eat celery, the stringy part of the vegetable actually helps clean the colon and digestive tract! The slimy strings sweep across the walls of your intestines and help remove toxins and gunk stored in your cell walls.
